I can’t believe such a wonderful cafe exists in a place like this!

fog hut is a roastery cafe with a stylish “white and triangles” theme where they roast all their beans in-house.

The owner, Mr. Yamazaki, tells me that “coffee is a fruit.”

He specializes in light roasts, carefully balancing a distinctive, individual character with a sweetness that lingers on the palate.

I finally understand why an Italian acquaintance told me this is likely the best coffee in Beppu.

The interior is unified in white, and even the owner’s clothes are entirely white, though he apparently used to dress quite colorfully in the past.

It’s a fascinating transformation.

While hot sandwiches and sweets lead the menu, the space itself is the real luxury.

Whether you drop by for breakfast or a mid-afternoon break, the combination of the atmosphere and the coffee is guaranteed to lift your spirits.

Another highlight is the fruit sandwich; the mix of Greek yogurt, fresh cream, and seasonal fruit is so good it will definitely have me coming back for more.
