Established in 718 C.E., it is the oldest wooden structure in Kyushu and is one of the three most respected Amidado Halls of the country.
Inside it, a celestial Buddha of Amida Nyorai resides, and all visitors are blessed with opportunities to admire. Many are also attracted to the altering appearance of the surroundings in each season: the bright summer greenery, scarlet autumn leaves, and tranquil and snowy winter scenes.
